Issue #86 — NVIDIA and Hugging Face

What we published: that a report by AI Times Korea of NVIDIA acquiring Hugging Face was fabricated.

What is true: the acquisition is real and was publicly confirmed. AI Times Korea reported it accurately. We apologize to them without reservation.

Cause: our summary stage read the source correctly; the essay stage, which works from that summary rather than the article, concluded the event had not occurred because its model had no record of it. The two contradicted each other on the same page, and the issue was published without human review.

Reach: approximately 1,000 page views over about three hours. Not sent to email subscribers. Removed September 4, 2026.
